Privacy information

Last updated: 23 October 2026

Playing the browser game

You can play Space Explorer Sim without making a game account. The simulator stores some preferences in your browser's local storage (such as graphics and controls choices). This storage is on your device. Clearing site data may reset your preferences.

Optional local music

If you choose a local music file or folder using your browser, the game uses that selection for local playback. The bundled game does not provide a player-music upload service.

Website requests and logs

Our hosting provider and network services may process technical information needed to serve the website, including IP address, request timing, browser information and security logs. These are used for delivering the site, maintaining security and investigating service problems. The web host controls retention of its technical logs.

Contact email

If you email contact@spaceexplorersim.com, your message, email address and any information you provide will be received through our email routing service and kept in our inbox to respond to your enquiry. Do not send passwords or sensitive information.

Links and donations

Visiting itch.io or making an optional donation is subject to itch.io's separate privacy and payment policies. External links to scientific resources and other platforms are controlled by those sites.

Your questions and rights

For privacy enquiries and requests concerning your personal data, contact contact@spaceexplorersim.com. We will review applicable UK data protection rights and requests. If the project adds optional analytics or other services in future, this notice will be updated.
